Diner Journal Fall 2008 Cover

The Diner Journal, Fall 2008 Cover
The Diner Journal asked me to do a view of Manhattan tranformed to farmland and the concrete-to-green ratio reversed. I sketched a couple of variations on the view, but the final composition is actually pretty close to the first sketch Mark Firth made.

This was the first large finished watercolor I had done in a while and getting all the elements to balance was a challenge. I could have worked on it a lot longer, but mecifully the deadline showed up and I was forced to hand it over.
